70 k10 front problems

2 years into trouble. replaced wheel bearings twice but she keeps eating them- causing the steering to pull to the right magically- dangerous. I have an 85 from axle i picked up for 300 (disc brakes). rather than swapping the whole axle, can I just replace it from the 'knuckles' on out? or is it best to just swap the whole thing- ball joints, etc. will not line up? Any videos or tips on such a swap? I think I need a different booster, master cylinder and portioning valve. Any recommendations for that setup too? Thanks a lot.
