ya that show was sweet, saw it yesterday...the exhaust KICKED A$$!!! had it split into open header pipes at the flick of a switch

This is one bad A$$ truck. Lots of great tip and tricks today on the show. And great parts. I need to get some of those header cut outs and the air cleaner. I really love the way the exh was tucked away, weather it was running though the mufflers or just strieght out the side under the doors with open headers screaming. I hope that fag that wrote the paper on flowmasters destroing The American life style sees this. LOL!!! Maybe we should send him a link from TRUCKS!!! This truck is soooooooo sweet. Can wait to see it get all kind of sideways!!!!!!!!!

What kind of paint job do you guys think it should have???

I'm just glad the show is still around - I wish they hadn't pulled Popular Hot Rodding's show. And I can handle Stacy alot better than the two guys on Horsepower TV. People must have complained about all their stupid comments that they always made last year cause they do that a lot less this year.

Ya know, I think I could do that job alot better then them, hmmm, wonder who I shoud call?

I agree with you guys about the air cleaner, I think it's kind of ugly.... and is it going to be under the hood? Because that would be really useless, and although I wouldn't want to cut the hood, at least you could justify it if it gave you a ram air shaker scoop (gotta love shakers). But since he cut it before ever having the body nearby, we can only assume it's going to sit under the hood. And the exhaust... I definitely wouldn't want solid exhaust mounts, and did anybody else notice that the exhaust wasn't mandrel bent? I'm not saying everybody in the world needs a mandrel bent exhaust, but when your engine alone costs more than a year of college education, why not do everything as well as possible?

It's staying under the hood.

He made a big deal about cutting the collar that the air cleaner has to sit on the carb so he could get enough clearance. In other words you'd never see it unless the hood's up.

Must be a Stacy thing...

back to the solid exhaust-did you notice the solid mounts just aft of the axle? how much of the heat will be passed through those solid mounts to the frame? enough to peel paint (eventually)? I like the idea of a solid mounted exhuast-think I could tuck it closer to the frame. the flexible mounts are a good idea regardless (run around $30 each from JCWhitney).

is there a such thing as (true) dual exhaust for 4wheel drives? the transfer case is kind of in the way,,,
