1973 C20 292 L6 Low Idle Condition....

Just bought a weekender and quasi-project truck and gave it a good tune up, needed new water pump, hoses, etc. Question is, does anybody else with an early-to-mid 70s have any experience with this low idle condition i'm experiencing?

it doesn't stall out, but the idle is so low (think: sitting at a stop sign) that I have to actually pay attention to whether or not it is still actually running. previous owner was an old-timer who said it had always idled low, and i don't know if i'm just not used to it yet....

any thoughts are appreciated!

Does it have an idle speed screw on the carb? If so just turn it until it sounds right.

Not completely sure on a monojet, but on every other carb I've see they're under the throttle linkage pointing towards the rear of the carb. Hope you get it worked out!

Not a problem, hope I helped! If you find it turning it to the right should raise the rpms.
