Question on the 67-72 bodys

IM looking at a 1968 chevy c30 and it a very striaght truck from what i saw and the guy that has it has fixed the rockers and has the patch for the passsanger cab corner (the only rust on the truck). It has a ho 327 in it that runs.

But now for the question the truck is a dually truck and in the time ive seen these truck i have never seen a dually 67-72 truck with a bed (right know it has a flate bed. if i dont part it id want to find that bed if they make one. does anyone know if they make one. Or is it modifying time.

Thx ill post pic if i get it which i should casue they guy is givving it to me.

I do not believe they made one. That would be a custom job if thats what you are going to do.

that's right, no pickup boxes everr installed on a truck with a factory daul rear wheel conversion.
If you add a box, it will have the wheels tucked in, as that conversion tucks the wheels in more than out like on a daulie pickup.

a cool thix so i just put a stock box on it and no big things sticking out the side cause the wheel will not stick out that far. Hmm soulds like a little fun (wide tires)

Re: Question on the 67-72 bodys

You'll have to put wider tubs in the bed. Other than that I think a stock bed would fit. Unless it used to be a motorhome or something and has a longer frame. The first dually pick up chevy produced was the 1973 "Big Dooley." That's when the outside rear tires stuck out past the side of the bed.

you may need to trim the opening a bit, and little flairs would cover that. some one here has pics of it... I seem to remember a white one.
