Hydrographics
I was wondering if anyone on here has experience with hydrographics? There's a guy up in Durango (CO) who will dip just about anything and can put down just about any kind of pattern. He's got a pretty good selection of wood grain and I was thinking that it might work good for the 72 wood grain door panels inserts and Super gauge clusters and glove box doors. I'll post the link up to his site but it might not last long because of the name. Mods if it has to be taken Out so be it. If anyone knows more about it, specifically its durability please elaborate for us! I specifically linked the page for the wood grain but there's a whole lot more.

I've been researching this as well and I think it should work. I've got a buddy that does it and he has done rifles and it holds up really well on those.

A guy i work with is having a hand gun dipped but hasn't gotten it back yet. I was thinking about dipping a deer skull or an AR 15 or something first to test it out. I just didn't want to bother with it if it's not gonna last.

i bought a kit off ebay and did one of my ar`s its has held up nice.. its not real hard to do, i thought of doing my wood grain but could find a close enough match.

Don't know where but I did find a wood grain on the net that came pretty close to original.

That stuff holds up great. A guy that does it around here showed me his dinner plates that he had coated. No signs of wear.
Also saw it on a 4 wheeler and it was super resistant to rock chips and such.

Ive seen lots of vids of this, I think its a neat thing, and that stuff really holds up. They put it on wheels a lot. Now the old man in me talking, I wouldn't use anyone that calls their business by that name, now get off my lawn

IF youre worried about wear you can always get a durable clear to go over the top too. Cerakote has a no bake clear now that should work
