In your opinion....used side mouldings/trim?

Hey guys this is my first Chevy and I was wondering what are the chances of finding good used side mouldings for my 63 short fleet...I would buy new eventually but the truck is a driver and a micro buck build so wondering if guys have had luck removing original trim sets and the likely hood of me finding it...thank you for your input

I found a good set of used for my '63 a few years ago but they had to come from the States (which is where everything comes from for us Canadians). You will need to be prepared to spend some time on straightening and removing dents on the used pieces if you are partial to straight and dent free trim.
The cost for used was about a quarter of the price of new back then.
Greg.

Re: In your opinion....used side mouldings/trim?

I found used trim (in the US). It is rough, and perfect for my truck. Dents, scrapes, screw holes, etc. The owner removed it to go with new for a restoration. Complete sets of used trim is TOUGH to find. Have a search in the classified section, and you will see that it does not come up often. If your truck is nice, buy new.

1" Sticky aluminum duct tape, cut it in half after doing the wider section to do the bottom and curved section. To Redneck? lol
