Proper Identification
I have a 1969 GMC Cab back SWB Step Side and a 1968 Chevy Front Clip. I have replaced the GMC Step Side Tailgate to a Chevy Tailgate and I'm in the process of changing leaf springs to trailing arms.
What are all of the correct emblems and lights for the 1968 Chevy SWB Step Side Truck? Was "Chevrolet" spelled out on the hood? was there a Red Chevy Emblem on the front of the truck? How about the sides of the front fenders? Were the side lights, front and rear, active or not? How about the rear step side lights. Tail Light on top of the backup light?

Re: Proper Identification
Here are some pics to help you out. The truck is a '68 Chevy SWB. The hood had Chevrolet spelled out (my letters were removed because they were falling off) The emblem on the fender is a 10 with a bowtie above it. For the rear, the reverse lenses sit atop the tail lights, like in the last pic minus the trim (that truck isn't a '68) The markers are only reflective and were not functional on my truck. I think it was an option in '68 but not mandatory until the following year. One of the gurus should chime in and say for certain.
