Blazer Tank Conversion VS Fuel Cell

The title eplains it all. I've got a 67 SWB that the original owner removed the stock gas tank from behind the seat and strapped into the bed with ratchet straps. This is obviously neither safe nor pretty so I would like to fix it. Putting the tank behind the cab again is not an option as the hole is already shaved, and I want to put my audio system/computer back there.

The truck is going to be bagged eventually so I would some opinions. I know that a fuel cell will probably cost more but I can get a higher fuel capacity and have more options for mounting. It will DEFINITLY be going under the bed as the truck will be used for hauling around my dirtbike and friends other toys. So what do you guys think? WHat's going to be my best option? Also any links to places to get fuel cells and all the stuff to do a conversion would be GREATLY appreciated.

Get in touch with fuelcellguy. He'll custom build whatever you want. You may have to go with a smaller capacity to keep it off the ground. What I don't like about the Blazer tanks is how low they hang under the frame rails.

I got a poly tank from Wes. It doesn't hang down low. I'm happy with it. The toughest part was the filler neck.

Look in the FAQ section and you will see a writeup I did using a metal blazer tank. I personally don't think it hangs too low either. FCG has a great product also though. I will probably get him to build a fuel cell for the project MG soon. It's really your choice.

The reason I am asking is because the truck will be laying frame eventually and I don't want to have to go back later and mess with the fuel tank.

If you will be laying frame, I would go with Fuel Cell Guy. The blazer tank doesn't hang too low, but it is below the frame. FCG can make you a shallow tank that won't go below the frame rails.
