Again with that ex-military '67 short step I have-I guess this is because of the military thing, but it has shoulder belts:

I decided to get them stripped out and out of the weather (no glass left in the cab). It turned into quite a project-I had to take the seat out to get to the inner bolts, plus I wanted to see if a build sheet survived (no luck, but I did find what remained of the protecto-plate and warrenty booklet-completely water logged) I didn't even recognize it until the protectoplate fell out of it. Anyway, I got the seat out and all and was kinda shocked to see how these belts were to be used:

I guess you had to click the lap belt into one latch end, and then click the shoulder belt into the other latch end. This don't seem very user-friendly. I'm glad a better way was invented. Is that right? Or am I missing something?

Thats exactly how they work.

and remember, if you have it in your truck, you have to wear it. When adjusted right, you may not be able to reach the dash knobs and stuff.

Good call, LHM. I will have shoulder belts in my Panel when it's done, but not like this. I use seatbelts, but they have to work and be comfortable.

I sure would think about changing the webbing. Those look shot.
