Brake proportioning valve

Would a proportioning valve need to be replaced when going from manual to power brakes?
1971 c10 disc/drum

Any suggestion for a replacement?

Re: Brake proportioning valve

I wouldn't think so, it works on the principal of equal pressure (front and rear), it would be the same whether powered brakes or standard.

Try looking it up as a Combination/Proportioning Valve. Almost any parts supplier should have them. The only difference is that most of the new ones are made out of brass.
