68 Chevy Truck Original Promotional Tape Measure - Check this out

My dad was a field service engineer for chevrolet back in 68 when we lived near detroit. Somewhere down the line he acquired this tape measure while working for chevrolet. He gave it to me after I got my 68 truck. Just dumb luck that the tape measure he had was the same year as the truck I bought.

Anyone ever seen anything like this?

Brian

Some retired person "imported it" from Texas to Wisconsin some 10 or 15 years ago and kept it in his garage and hauled light stuff to the dump in it every now and again. I picked it up a few years back. Body is pretty much rust 'free' except for the rockers that have issues and the inner fender well underneath the battery.

BTW, That oak rail is now gone. I used the stock on my house. I never cared for the look of it.

Never saw one of those. Too bad you don't have a 4WD, you could probaobly trade it for some NOS tow hooks!

That is really cool! What luck that it is even the same year as your truck.

Nice truck toms68cst. Pretty much like mine except mine is a plain jane. Two options on my glove box sticker one is the HD oil bath air cleaner and I believe the other is the paint color. I'm going to continue to restore and upgrade my truck, but I'm struggling with whether or not I want to lower it or keep the stock height.
