1/2 ton two 3/4 ton what will I encounter?

I have a 86 k10 and bought a 85 m1008 to get the running gear out of. Will the front and rear end out of the m1008 bolt in place of the 6 lug units? Will the front driveshaft still work? I am sure I will have to do something on the rear driveshaft. What have I got myself into?
Thanks

I'm not exactly sure of the differences on an 86,but on my 72 i had to get shorter slip collars for my front and rear drive shafts, even going from stock height to 6 inches higher.(lifted)due to the fact that the carrier housings are bigger.
