Looking for pics showing easiest way to support body so that the frame can roll out from underneath.
Started pulling the drivetrain out of my k5 today and realized im not going to be happy unless i can get the frame blasted and painted. Im not looking for a LONG term build just want to start clean.
Is there a FAQ on pulling front sheet metal complete?

Front clip will come off as a complete in about 20 minutes with the help of a couple of friends. (pending that the bolts come out easily)

Then things can get interesting.
After freeing the body from the frame, you then have to get creative.

Depending on what's available to you, you need to find a way too support the body and roll the chassis out from underneath.

I've lifted them off with an engine hoist before.

Man I wish I hadnt opened that can of rust ass worms.......Bad day had by me!!

Glad I got the firewall/windshield frame from Ebfabman!
Why cant people just tell the truth about doing crappy body work!
Fiberglass should be outlawed

Not off yet....im still working on cutting out rusty metal...also need to figure something out for moving it around while its off. Plans are to finish striping and then get it sand blasted. Im going to have to replace the firewall/windshield frame much like you did....good thing I have a spare thats pretty nice. Inner/outer rockers,rockers boxes/end caps,rear rocker box supports,front floorboards, front cab supports, kick panel patches, front/rear door pillar patches and most probaby more but thats where im at now.
Going to get over mothers day and collect the money for all the stuff I have sold then get back to work on it.
Do you have pictures from when you did the work to the areas behind the rocker boxes?
Mike Nutt and Joe Hayes(ojoe) is going to help me with the work, I have a longbed thet I plan on cutting up for the patches on the rear bedside areas that need work.
I also have a set of VERY nice 67 doors that im saving in case my doors dont look so good after they have been blasted.

Well I got the firewall/windshield frame off today....got the replacement set in place with the doors back mounted for trial fit.....seriously thinking about replacing the entire floor....anyone done this on a blazer yet?
