Build ya some mini boxes to fit w/e size speaker you want, and mount them in the cab corners back behind the seat, right there at the edge. But if you do that, you'll also need some sound from the front, so maybe put some 4" speakers on / in the dash.
I cut into my doors, and while its a pain in a$$, it was worth it; its the best place for speakers IMHO. I got the 6x9s in the door, and I'm gonna get another set to put in boxes in the cab corners.

Hey C-10volvo, are you able to put your bench seat as far back as possible or is the sub box on your way? Just asking because I'm thinking of building a sub box for my truck but I must get the seat as far back as possible. |

A center console to hold 2 Perfect 12's? That better be built into a new box that goes behind the seat too because your gonna need a little over 3 cubes to really let those things shine.
Im going with 2 reference 10's behind the seat and thats gonna be a pita enough trying to get 1.7 or 1.8 cubes back there in a sealed box with an amp rack built in the middle. Im prolly sticking some horn tweeters in the corners too for good measure.

Nice. I have kinda lost interest in getting an overkill nice system in the truck ever since I got into Home Audio. Having loud exhaust, a cab thats not nice to work with for acoustics, and road noise is just too many things working against you. Im just going for a nice sounding custom, but not overkill setup. Now in my home, thats another story. Shaking the walls is one of my favorite things to do. But its a lot more fun to tune the speakers for a room instead of a cab.
