help wipers don't return to park position

Are the wipers on a 69 supposed to return to the bottom of windshield or park position when you shut them off ? mine seem to stop where ever when you shut the switch off. thanks for any help in advance

They are supposed to park when you turn the switch off, no matter where they are when you turn 'em off. Mine used to stop and stay straight up when I turned them off, but I oiled the wiper linkage and motor and now they go all the way down. You might wanna try that.

If the oiling does not work, just time it right when you shut off the switch and you can shut off the wipers in the right position.

They are supposed to. When mine stopped working I pulled apart the motor and found out that it is not something that is easily repaired. I got mine working and they worked for a litle while and failed again. I went and bought a new motor, and I am Scottish!(read cheeeeeap!).
