Tried craigslist for a day. Probably the weirdest day I've had in a while. The amount of weirdos I had calling and texting at all hours rambling was slightly disturbing. It is becoming impossible to sell anything on that site. It had been a few years since I listed anything on there and now I remember why.

It can be weird for sure. There was a gentlemen on Facebook in the 67 to 72 Burb group looking for a 4x4 to buy. Do you have a link I can send him of yours?

70 3/4 ton V8 auto $2000 supposed to be ex Forest Service but with two tone paint I doubt it as I have never seen a two color Forest Service truck. Needs everything. But nothing says Pacific Northwest like moss growing in the rusted out areas.

So does moss always grow on the north side of a burb?

I've heard that will help you if you are lost in a salvage yard in your area of the country.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

Relisting from last fall. I think the price is better now at $3850. 71 four speed with lots done. At this price its looks like a great deal.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

First showed up last year in March at $15000 now $8000. Hard to argue about the current pricing.

https://seattle.craigslist.org/est/c...451092814.html

1968 Chevy "Panel" Truck is factory built on the Suburban line. It is the last of the true panel trucks. One of 4,800 built in 1968. The truck is in great condition and ready to go.
Recently had lots of work done to it by professionals. I have receipts, listing the work completed. Runs and drives great. V8 - 305/700R4 backed up by a GM 12bolt.
Power disc brakes up front, drums in the rear, Power steering, brand-new headers and exhaust, the rear differential has been overhauled with new bearings, seals and in excellent mechanical working order.
The paint is decent, very little areas of rust bubbles on the truck, has no signs of cancer or needing any major repair.
Interior is black vinyl (also has lots of new original items installed). CD player, back seat, and wood floor behind the rear bench (in decent shape). Everything looks correct and works on this truck.
Interior lights work, windows work (manual crank), and all the locks work.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

68 4x4 four speed. Gold (or maybe light olive) and white with a serious bumper. $6900 looks like a keeper except for the lack of information on that demon Rust.

Re: Suburban and panel finds

Just found these two on Craigslist. They aren't to far from me if anyone is interested.

https://boston.craigslist.org/sob/cto/6046571428.html

Two Suburbans for sale. A 1969 Chevrolet with a 6 cylinder, 3 speed on the column, with barn doors, 2 wd. Also a 1970 GMC 4X4 , 4speed. Posi rear end, 350 ci , with barn doors. The GMC has a Massachusetts title. The Chevrolet is a former U.S. navy vehicle with some paperwork from RI. Vehicles are best used for parts and will be sold as such. Cash in hand n person. Phone calls only please.

☎ (508) 965-5814

I know it's kind of hard to tell by the pictures but wondering if it would be worth it to buy both and part them out? Not sure if there is enough Good there to do that. Maybe I'll make a trip down to see them this weekend.

I went down and looked at these trucks last night. They are severely rotted and almost every panel on the trucks had some type of damage. They both only had front seats and everything was moldy and just not in great shape. The seller was pretty set of getting $1800 or very close to that for both. I offered him Way less and he wouldn't budge.

Here are some pics.

Are these stock headliner bows?

No, those pieces are put of the overhead roof structure. The headliner bows are only about .5-.75" wide and there are only 3 of them.
