Re: Blazers:More popular than ever...LOOK!!!

I take it this isn't a photo shop job? What does the license plate say, ROSE 23? I wonder if that means anything? Can anyone see what state it's from? Kinda looks like Texas. As I was typing, something clicked. It looks like he rode out to the stage in it back in the day. For instance at the San Antonio Rodeo, the perfromers ride out to the stage in whatever GM vehicle is new and popular at the time. They usually drive out in the dark with a spotlight on them then kick the stage lights on when they get up there. I found a reference picture of Willie Nelson from a few years ago after a he got out of the back of a Z71. Just a thought

As far as I know it`s an authentic picture.I had it saved and came across it today in my "Ads" picture folder.I can`t remember where it`s from.I don`t think it`s a photochop.I think it`s an authentic lousy old black and white.Just thought it was a fun picture.

Re: Blazers:More popular than ever...LOOK!!!

Those are Texas tags and they look like 1971. I'm going to guess that was at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo on the floor of the Astrodome.

Edit- I just did a search and he was never at the Houston Rodeo...

This pic was posted on the forum probably 3-4 years ago and someone was able to identify the place.

Looks like that old thread pretty much answers it! Damn I'm good, I knew that was a rodeo entrance vehicle, I just didn't know which rodeo!

Yup if he opened the show in 1970 that would explain the 70 front clipped Blazer.
