Motor Mounts

Ok, so I changed my motor mounts on my truck since the old ones were pretty much destroyed. And while changing the motor mounts I learned that they are a pain in the @$$ to get to.
So my question is this;
Can I changeover the motor mounts to the "through bolt" type of motor mounts? What all is required to do this changeover? Will I need different stands for the frame/crossmember? I'm figuring that it would bolt right up to the block no problem.

Several board members have done this conversion, there are different clamshells and I do believe diff stands are required also. try a search for motor mount change.

Well I did a search, and I did find these... I am looking for something a little cheaper though, which is why I was thinking of the clam shells.

Well You can go with the 71-72 Big Block motor mount set up and you just need the clam shell and the frame bracket. Also, you can use the 73-87 style with the same parts but the motor will be moved the the firewall by about an inch.
