My new addition: 72 K5

I won this K5 on Ebay afew weeks back and finally got around to going down to MD to pick it up. Here she is:

And last, for good measure, my friends 72 C-10 w/ my 85 K5 in the background

I'm going to have my work cut out in the body area, two words: RUST BULLET . At least I'll get some experience in metal working. The driver's side floor has a good hole starting behind the seat and the pass. side has a small one starting. Plus the two holes on the windshield frame. Those are going to be interesting to try to fix.... The plan is to drop in a "1511" 400sbc hopefully in the spring. It came with a new T350 trans and everything else needed to run. So once the engine is done, it should be good to go. Eventually, I'll do either a 4 or 6" lift, 35s and a softop.

Stop over to North Wales, your not that far away. My holes were bigger than your holes.

Mostly around on weekends and nights. J.

Re: My new addition: 72 K5

I spent most of last weekend cleaning and spray primering my other set of front fenders. They turned out pretty good, good enough for now at least. Before I get too far into the body work, I have to do some researching about what primer will be the best to use and figure out how "nice" I want the body to be. Just a matter of how much I want to spend I guess Its definetely not going to be a show truck, it might just get fully primered and stay that way.
