Long Horn Frames. One Piece Or Sectioned?

I am currently shopping for a project vehicle and I have come to like the Long Horn trucks. I understand that they stretched the bed by welding another one to it, but does any one know how they did the frame?

I am looking at one about 500 miles away and the guy there is useless, he won't crawl under and look.

The goal is to the build a work truck, fifth wheel and all, so I don't want a sectioned frame even though i would like to box it.

Did the long horns have a one piece or did chevy section them?
