Lower door options

Unfortunately my painter was unwilling to patch the existing speaker holes in my doors. I "hate" the holes....especially since I do not have speakers in them. What I am looking for is opinions/options/suggestions as to how to best handle them. I don't have a finished pic of the door with me at work so I am including a couple to give you an idea. I have thought about carpet, but there isn't really a color match for my truck. Someone else suggested getting more of the blue material from my seat and custom make a cover.

Also, pics of finished idea would be greatly appreciated.
