Good Day! (seats and fuel cell)
So the other night I found some seats out of a pontiac solstice on eBay. They were being sold by a local company at no reserve, so I thought I might try to get 'em. Well I did, and $105 later I had some nearly new bucket seats!!
Then I get home to find my fuel cell from FuelCellGuy waiting on my doorstep! Now if only I could find the time to actually work on this thing instead of just ordering parts for it! |

Re: Good Day! (seats and fuel cell)
I'll get some more pics of the cell this evening.
The seats were in a 'junk yard'. It's called Stricker Brothers and they have quite the operation. They just built a new dismantling building that has 14 bays with lifts and cranes. They take apart up to 30 cars a day. Their website is www.strickerbros.com. Last edited by Alvin; 02-23-2006 at 08:43 AM. |

Good deal. I like those seats. Are they comfortable?

Re: Good Day! (seats and fuel cell)
They are pretty comfortable from the little bit I've sat in 'em. I'm a fairly slim guy, so it takes some effort to find seats that actually give me some side support, and these are pretty good. Not sure how much I'd like to take a long trip in 'em but I don't make many long trips anyhow.

They look very similar to the seats in my Acura RSX.

Re: Good Day! (seats and fuel cell)
That's interesting, the fuel cell I bought from Mark didn't have the flanges, it just fit up between the frame rails and front and rear support. Maybe its because your fuel filler sticks trough the bed and mine didn't.

Re: Good Day! (seats and fuel cell)
Could be that, and mine is going under a steel bed floor, if that would make any difference.

Re: Good Day! (seats and fuel cell)
Nice tank! I went with one of Mark's tank in my old SWB and I loved it.
Hey Mark - I have a new project, it may need a new tank

Re: Good Day! (seats and fuel cell)
Ok, my fuel cell came in today. FCG (aka Mark) is a pleasure to do business with. Shipping was fast, prompt and well packed and, well, you see the product (this is the larger 18gal tank w/in-tank pump):

Re: Good Day! (seats and fuel cell)
will do on the new thread thing. my only possible gripe about the fuel cell would be using something other than sheet metal screws to hold the pump and sending unit in. Someone mentioned welding a square plate over that area and welding studs to it or something like that in chat - I won't be doing it...but seriously - quality craftsmanship, great person to deal with. i have zero complaints at all with what I received. taking it out for Line-X tomorrow.
