rally wheel sizing?

Is the difference between the 15/8 and the 15/7 the offset, and then that affects the lip size, so the 15/8 then needs an inch larger beauty trim ring?

thanks

Re: rally wheel sizing?

Humboldt? As in TN?

Trim rings are sometimes wider for wider rims, there is actually a 2" and a 3"
version for the 15 x 8 73 up style 6 lug rally's alone. Good wuestion, and If
ordered custom from Wheel Vintiques you can get anything you really want.

Re: rally wheel sizing?

15x8 are an inch wider than the 15x7's. The lip sizes are different and the trim rings are different. All four of mine are 15X8 with 88-98 beauty rings. They will look sweet once I get done painting them up.

Re: rally wheel sizing?

Yes it is in the offset, best way to solve that, use all shallow rings.

Re: rally wheel sizing?

Offset isn’t the only thing to take in consideration on the ring size. A 10 inch rim with 7 inches of offset has the same front lip as an 8 inch rim with 5 inches off offset or a 6 inch rim with 3 inches of offset. They would all use the same ring because the front rim depths are the same.
