another oklahoma 67.
I posted a while back about a lot of 67s around here. I just went and looked at another. I thought it was an odd set up. Its pretty plain jane but it was orderd with the big back window, however the papers say it was sold in aug 67' so its a later 67. one sunvisor, 283 with a powerglide, no power steering. The tires are 215/75/15s. while there was a little play in the steering it was a breeze to turn, hands down(pun intended) the easiest manual steering truck I had ever driven. I could have drank coffee and drove. The little 283 fired right up with the choke and purred through the single exhaust. It seems I see more of these vermillion trucks than any other color except that mint green one. It hardly has any dents but the red dirt has got the best of the rockers and cab corners. The tailgate was just put back on. it had been on one side, where it has slight surface rust. I think this thing could be had for a grand. AM radio worked good, no cig lighter.
what do you guys think?

Looks good. I would check the floor pan though. It looks good to me. Is that hazard switch an add-on?

I crawled underneath it. The cab supports have some rust but the immeidiate floor looks good. From what I was told it lived on a farm off a dirt road but was this guys baby. I was suprised how well it ran.

see the 68 in my aviatar? There's also a blue 67 next to the my red 67. So I have 3 and two parts trucks right now. LOL. I could pass the info onto someone who's intrested in it. My parts 67 is vermillion red with blue interior!!! How strange is that?

A bit off the subject, but I drove to Kingfisher to buy a new Ferd. It was about 8 or 9 years ago and I bought the "new" (back then anyways) Ferd super duty with diesel 6-speed, etc from the ferd dealer there in town and got a smokin' deal. I was living in Amarillo at the time and made a nice day drive. Lots of great trucks and older vehicles to be found around there!!
