3/4 ton rear end

I have a 1968 GMC 3/4 ton with a Dana 60-4:56. Looking at buying a 1979 GM 14 bolt with 3:73. Anyone know if I'll have to change spring perches or shock mounts?

Thanks

Re: 3/4 ton rear end

I'm pretty positive they have to move out about an inch or so on each side if memory serves me right. I'm sure someone else on here can chime in.

There is a great bigger break/posi/rear end post HERE that may help.
