Went junkyarding...

I was looking for some interior dash pieces for our 58 that I know are out here somewhere, but couldn't find them this afternoon. This particular yard is good about not crushing any of the older stuff, but they WILL move them around on you!

Anyway, took a few pics...

Re: Went junkyarding...

Damn! I wish we had yards like that up here... I MIGHT have a chance at finding that one stainless passenger outside door trim I've been looking for!

Would be great to just cruise around the old sheetmetal in there!

Ted.

Hahaha we don't see yards like that up here either, the cancer is usually so bad you couldn't find a single part worth grabbbing

God bless the USA when it comes to old trucks. Here in Canada they are few and far between and when you find them they want a mint for a rust bucket!

I got a 37 GMC a few weeks ago. It dosn't look like much but it will work for me. The grill and hood look new. The truck had been in a barn since the late 60's until this summer. I need to get it back in the dry. I hope to get started on it when I finish the 52.

Re: Went junkyarding...

All the bone yards here in NJ are horrible. You'll never find anything older then the 70's and if you do, your not going to find anything slavagable.

Yeah, I saw that on your thread. I think it is a good start. Don't forget to do a build thread when you get on it.

Re: Went junkyarding...

check this yard out...cars and trucks from 40's up to new ones..

http://wegotused.com/

I was last there in 2000 ...they even had a 39 chevy sedan nascar that raced on the beach at daytona. Was the 88 car..Now if you have time and travel..This is a good place to check out.
