York 210

im having trouble trying to find the right fittings for my York. From what I've read I need the flange style ones. only place I've seen them is Kilby and it says they are out. Anyone know where else I could get these at?

Re: York 210

havent finished it up yet, im re-arranging some fittings on my tank to add a drain and to add this new line. i tried welding my bracket but my little welder couldnt do it...im going to have to probably buy a new welder too. ill post up the progress of this and cost to give people an idea (there is some info out there but it is really outdated). this stuff really does add up with all the fittings..but im hoping its worth it. the electric is going to stay as a backup

Re: York 210

Cool. When i get it finished up ill send u the address to come check it out. I got all the plumbing done with the filter mounted. My welder couldnt hang with the 1/4" plate so im going to have to buy a new one. Bracket is the only thing left...

Re: York 210

I know I'm late trying to help you out but you can buy flanges for those compressors at a Napa or even a big truck parts place. Big trucks used those compressors for years, so they are very common in those circles. They should have them in a flare fitting which is easy to work with.

Re: York 210

finally got the bracket done and the pump painted and put on. also got the filter mounted and all the fittings in, just need to run the breather on the pump and wire it all up. i screwed up with mounting it to low, in which the belt was hitting the frame. i had to slot the holes to raise it up..which also puts tension on the belt. i really wanted to run the tensioner pulley i got but i didnt want to make another bracket...so that was the easiest option. hoping to get it running by next week to try it out.

Re: York 210

Can't wait to see how this works. I just did my LS swap and it would look cool with a compressor on each side

Re: York 210

ya, im hoping everything works out ok. this thing would probably only take a few dedicated days to finish up, but without having everything on hand, going to and from the hardware store a million times, other stuff getting in the way, fixing a few old wires and re routing them...makes it take forever.

heres the breather i made for it, just a brake line adapter with 1/4" bent brake line on it. cut off the end and added the filter. the thread on the pump is 3/8 x 24 in case anyone needs it...

Re: York 210

well, i finally got to try it out...and the first time i used it i had problems. clutch bolts back out and started to come off. i put some thread locker on and tightened it up and it fixed that. then while the tank was filling up, the side vent started puking out oil and then it wouldnt hold air anymore. so i pulled it apart, cleaned it out (had shavings from when i tapped for the fittings), put new gaskets and tried it again today.

so now, it pumped it great, but it started spitting oil again out of that side vent. but it does hold air this time (except for the dumb quick connect fitting i have that leaks like crazy). i put 30w non detergent oil, about 12oz.

does anyone know why it would be doing that? im a little nervous to leave it running too long like that, so i keep turning it off.
