Where to measure to make level

As you can see my truck sits with the back higher. It is a 4 x 4 so I would rather raise the front than drop the rear.

My questions are where do I measure to find out how much I need to raise it?

Is the distance from top of tire to wheel well supposed to be the same if level?

Bed rails make sure you are on level pad.But after you level it stand back an look at it.Try not to look at the bed rails.Some times when you try to make it level It will look like it is running down hill backwards.

I would go at the bottom corner of front fender behind wheel well, and bottom corner on front of back wheel well. The 4x4's seem to have around 2" (give or take) of rake of them from the factory.

Put it on a good flat surface that you can stand back and look at it. measure to the top of the front wheel. no put a floor jack under the front and raise it up a little till the body looks like you want as far as the angle goes. Now measure tot he top of the wheel again. Do the math and that is you number.

2" does seem about right but I also have a BB in it and I'm betting that sunk the front down some.

I am hoping that a 2" front lift kit from tuff country or skyjacker will do the trick to make it level.

I had a 76 shorty 4X4 for 23 yrs. it sat the same way and i tried to level it, I did finally get it, I soon learned if I had a load in it or my trailer on behind it sat to far down in the rear so I put it back to the way it had been. It sat level with a load.

It would look good with another two up front I think. I like a higher front end when off roading too.

I always go off of the signal markers...its a good straight edge to measure off of...
