4L80e and standard speedometer

I'm getting to the point where I'm going to buy a TCM (TCI EZ-TCU, Compu-shift, etc.) for my 4L80E transmission and need to know if I can still use the standard mechanical speedometer?

You can but you have to buy an add-on device to do it. If I remember correctly they are kinda' expensive.
