Re: throw them colors at me!
Man do I know this feeling. One day it's one color, next day something different... and on and on.
I swear I need 12 trucks just so I can do all the different combos I want. Good luck in your hunt.

Re: throw them colors at me!
Check out the burgundy on a new Nisson 350z. If I was painting something I would seriously consider it.

Re: throw them colors at me!
This is a color I painted on PS. Not a metallic but everyone loves it. It has been viewed almost 700 times, I painted about 8 other colors and they have only been viewed 38 times

Re: throw them colors at me!
I think metallic in black makes it look dirty.
Unless you`re ready to buy paint,I would wait to decide.I learned a long time ago that you`ll keep changing your mind everytime you see a color you like.I decide when it`s time to buy paint.

Re: throw them colors at me!
I knew a guy had a S10 ,he painted the upper half Black Pearl(metallic),and the lower half White Pearl(tri-coat),then seperated them with a narrow red stripe. Was a real nice color combo

I swear I'm not gay, but I kinda think the Mary Kay pink on the new Cadillac's is a cool color. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go shave my legs...

Re: throw them colors at me!
<--rattle can fiesta in progress - Rustoleum 'Black Night Metallic'
It's a really dark gray/gunmetal with a silver/gold flake that really pops when the sun hits it...I am waiting to post pics until I get done but so far it is turning out really good - here is the test panel that I sanded with 2000 and hand rubbed to see if it would even smooth out. A full line of compunds/polishes and some hand sanding will make it turn out pretty nice I think... Last edited by Beatcoaster; 09-16-2009 at 01:40 AM. |

Re: throw them colors at me!
I would have to say Vivid Black (Harley Davidson Black on motorcycles) it is unbelievable...The engine compartment in my truck is that color and when I repaint my truck it will be that color...just like my streetglide...

Re: throw them colors at me!
What color was the truck stock?
I would stay away from metallics because you have to go with a base/clear. If you do a color w/o metallics then you can go with a single stage and really rub it out to look like a mirror. I would especially do that with black. |

Re: throw them colors at me!
Not sure which truck you are addressing but mine is Light Olive upper and Dark Olive lower. I think 501 & 502 but I might be wrong.
