Question Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

Guy's and gals i'm looking to try and find some west coast mirrors like on the c60's... But it's not working out. Does anyone reproduce these mirrors? And does anyone with them know where to mount them? I have no problems mounting them but i want a factory location... Thanks in advance y'all.
I even included a picture so all know lol

Re: Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

They were available from '73-'80 if not all the way to '91 on pickups. I would look around wrecking yards, forum classifieds, craigslist, ebay.

I would suggest a local wrecking yard, then you might be able to get all of the exact measurements for the mounting holes.

Re: Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

I work part-time at a wrecking yard...I will keep my eyes open. They did have a 75-77 GMC 6500 the might've had most of the mirrors there, but it was crushed over a year ago. I try to pull complete "more difficult to find" items and set them aside or in another vehicle.

I will keep a lookout at the local pick and pull. I saw a 75 stepper which I think had those mirrors.

Re: Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

If you want exact OEM style mirrors you will likely have to get them used. The ones on Ebay look nice to me (especially lighted and heated ones) but they are not stock.

Re: Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

If you must have the OEM GM part, check these vendors - enter p/n 14016682 and search all vendors:

Re: Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

Just go to Napa and Build-a-bear yourself a set of mirrors. They should have a cataloge of mirror parts you can go through and pick what you need to make a pair of mirrors.

Re: Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

79Betty, found a set of chrome west coast style mirrors on a square bodied Topkick/Kodiak at a local yard. The passenger side is missing the mirror head but all the bracketry is there, these are a nice stout set, I can get a pic later this week if you're interested.

EDIT: I said chrome, but they might be stainless.

Re: Mirror Mirror on the Wall...

All is well. I have a set with doors now. Only problem is the doors have a H.U.G.E gap to the cab. Any idea's how to close it up?
