Here's mine similar to above but with buckets. The houndstooth isn't correct for buckets though...only bench seats

Re: Interior pictures 1972 cheyenne

Here is a pic of mine. Its a Cheyenne but not a Super. I used the cloth insert seat because I like the looks and the comfort but it is correct only for the Super, I think.

Re: Interior pictures 1972 cheyenne

Forgot to answer the rest of your question,... the carpet, dash pad, and steering column/wheel should be black. The headliner, door panels, sun visors, s. belts should be parchment. If that's not correct, someone please let us know.

Re: Interior pictures 1972 cheyenne

Thanks for the compliments! With a parchment interior (seat, door panels, visors, headliner, console) GM could have added the dash pad/column/wheel/carpet in either black or saddle with seat belts that were saddle (if saddle dash, etc.) or black or white (if black dash, etc). Glove box doors on the Chevy Supers were either painted to match the dash or black (like mine).

Edit: All tilt columns were black so if your truck had a tilt your wheel would be black to match the column. If no tilt, the column/wheel in a parchment truck could be saddle or black to match the dash pad. Also, IIRC the paint atop the dash matches the dash pad so would be a flat back if a black pad or flat saddle if a saddle pad.

Re: Interior pictures 1972 cheyenne

Mine was originally equipped with parchment trim too, and looks identical to Oklalawnboys. Does anyone know why the glove box doors are painted black, and do not match the interior paint?

Thanks, Looks better in the pictures than in person, the 40 years of wear are a bit more obvious.

The glovebox looks brand new in the pics. Don't see them like that very often
