Has any one modified a retractable running for a 1972

So a littl back story I bought this truck it was ORIGINALLY (I understand people here might frown open this much of a mod ) a c20 that I am decided I want to build up to a k20 so that in mind as I have been pulling it apart I decided I want to mod it into a 4 door still deciding that last mod but what I'm wondering is has any one modified a newer retractable running boards on to a 1972 Chevy ? If so can I see some pics and if you have tips there more then welcome
