What is it worth?

Hey, new guy here. I'm looking for opinions.

I've come across a 68 Chevy swb C10. It is complete except for a few things under the hood which have evidently been "borrowed." It does have rust, but not a whole lot. The major area is the bed which had old and wet leaves built up leaving pitting, but none of the floor has rusted through completely. Has a small block and is currently not running. TH350. No huge dents or creases anywhere.

He wants 1300 for it. What do you all think?

Welcome to the board from South Mississippi. Is it fleetside or stepside? Probably get a LOT better advice if you could take some pictures. Trouble spots for rust are the rockers, cab supports, around the windshield, under the battery box on the passenger side. Could be worth that, depends on shape of the body.

Re: What is it worth?

Thanks for the welcome!

It is a fleetside. The floor in the cab is still there but will need some new metal. The windshield area didn't look too bad. I know...I do need pictures but I didn't have my camera when I looked at it. There are several of these trucks in my area, but no one wants to sell them!

I hear you. Depending on where you are in Arkansas you should contact (PM) Eric (Putter is his screen name), his dad lives in southern Arkansas and he found a junkyard down there that had several trucks in it.

Re: What is it worth?

Alright, found another one.

This is a 67 long bed...passenger door is bowed in and the bed is bowed in too. Otherwise it looks good, not too much rust. No motor, there is a powerglide back there though. If I bought it, I would do a frame and bed chop to make a shortbed. It will most likely be on bags. He wants $500. I don't know the value of long beds, so that's why I'm asking!
TIA
