Back on the board with a new truck

After 2 years or more off the board, I put a deposit on this baby today.
www.efi-street.com/IMAGES/72C10/
Notables include zero rust and a new 350 vortec crate engine.
2nd owner with original dealer paperwork.

My plans are for a 3.5/5 drop and 20" Torq Thrusts and not much else aside from detailing/polishing what is there.

Wish mine looked like that! Really nice. Do you know which crate engine it is and how does it run? I've been looking at those crate engines lately...

Re: Back on the board with a new truck

Thanks for all the comments guys. I hope to pick her up by the end of next week as the buyer is coming to pick up my '86 TType on Monday. I drove the truck for about 30 minutes on a test drive the other day and it rides/drives as smooth as silk.

Kxnomore, I'll have to get more info on the crate engine, but I'm pretty sure it's just the 330 horse 350HO engine. It has plenty of power, but this truck will be more of a cruiser as I have alternative "go fasters" when I want that I DO know that the thing starts up with just the lightest of "bumps" on the key.

I had pretty much given up on finding a C10 in this nice of original condition and, as luck would have it, this one happened to be right here in town and I was in the right place at the right time. I'm pretty sure that it has had some touch up work done here and there, but 95% of the paint looks to be original and according to the owner (2nd owner) that is the case.

I basically wanted something that I could just buff out/polish and lower with some wheels and not get into a full blown restoration. I ask that you guys say a little prayer for me that I don't let my obsessive compulsive nature take over and turn this thing into a "project". LOL

Oh, and Bgangsta999, I just checked out your truck...Looks like you got an awesome find too.
We'll have to have a GA/AL meet sometime.
