Rear Tie Rod symptoms?

Aside from the obvious (cracked, rotting rubber), what would be the warning signs indicating that your rear tie rod (panhard bar) bushings are shot? In other words, would you hear or feel anything from down there?

Thanks.

If the rubber is shot it will usually give out a clunk noise.

Re: Rear Tie Rod symptoms?

If you grab the bed of your truck and push side to side you will hear that clunking sound. That's what mine did anyway. When I got the bar off the bushing on the rear end was completely gone. I called around looking for the bushing at all auto part stores and none of them stocked nor could they even get them, ended up having to buy them from Classic Chevy here in OKC.
