Door sill plates, tail light trim and glove box question!!

So got liner in glove box but could use a few pictures of how steel lip that lock/catch catches on should be mine is bent to hell got it kinda fabed. Also is there something that should push door open? Like spring because i got to pull it open.

Door sills i have look like they should work but how do i mount with lap belt buckle mech in way?

Lastly any one know how i could "add" tail light trim if truck doesnt have slots for clips? Would a adheasive work without looking stupid? Or messing up rear fenders in some way?

Since I am newbie here, I have been thinking the same thing, "Is there something that should push the glove door open? Like a spring because I have to pull it open every time." I hope we get some insight on this matter from an excellent source on here. Also I recently got a glove box light from LMC and there are 2 connector plugs on it. Which one plugs into the fuse box & what does the other one plug into? I am sure it works off the light dash dimmer switch that also controls the courtesy lamp. Is it suppose to or made to also work with the door jamb courtesy light switch?, that I don't have on my truck (yet).

Re: Door sill plates, tail light trim and glove box question!!

I think you need some rubber bumpers. You should see some holes on either side of the opening. Wes at Classic Heartbeat sell them, or any number of aftermarket retailers. After that, It's just adjustment of the latching mech. If you have to pull the door open then the latch is adjusted too loosely. Loosen the latch screws, and push it in just a little bit. Try it. If it is the same, push it in a little bit more. eventually you'll have it far enough for the rubber bumpers to do their job.
As for the light, my speculation is that the plug for the fuse box requires you to remove an existing wire, and the second plug is for that wire to plug into.
I haven't installed mine yet either, so I'm only speculating.
I think for the tail light trim, you need to drill holes. Again, I haven't installed mine yet either, so just a guess.
Good luck,
Curtis

Re: Door sill plates, tail light trim and glove box question!!

Do you have the latch striker plate for the lip on the upper dash? As far as the glove box door, yes there is a spring. Read this thread...

You can see the ends of the spring in the pictures. It goes all the way through the hinge.

They may have pried the glove box open and bent the lip and broke the striker.
PM me your address and I will send you one free of charge.
