Re: dash without dash pad??
I put fiberglass cloth behind the slots that are exposed once you remove the cover and then used some bondo hair and glassed them in. Finish with some good glaze compound prime and paint. I like it, very clean. Out atv work so can't send any pic's right now. Steve

Re: dash without dash pad??
There is a member with some good pics of a filled dash in progress, is it XXL?
I like that look. It takes some work, but sets it apart from the others out there |

Re: dash without dash pad??
You have to use the resin, but be sure to clean and rough up the surface first. This backing gives support for the filler putty so it won't crack or pop out. I didn't have a MIG at the time that I did this, if I were to weld I would get a piece of copper rod that would fit behind the cut out that you can hold and take short burst and fill it. The copper works as a dam and gives a better hole fill, used to use a piece of electrical Buss bar to fill holes on beds. Just for clarity the copper does not flow or braze it is just a dam, but if you don't control your heat you can melt dirt. I will be home in 2 weeks and will try to get some pics. steve
