Cannot find Heavy Half decals!!!

Hey everyone, I am trying to find some Heavy Half decals for a buddies Christmas gift and not having any luck. Anyone know of a quality company that reproduces them. GM and eBay were no-gos, thanks in advance Kaysen

Re: Cannot find Heavy Half decals!!!

I've seen "C10 heavy duty"
and "C10 CAMPER SPECIAL" emblems in the past.
But never anything that said "HEAVY HALF" Unless you're talking about my ex.

Re: Cannot find Heavy Half decals!!!

I saw a 'heavy half' once. It was the same body style as my '84, IIRC.

Re: Cannot find Heavy Half decals!!!

That may be a tough one to come across. Unless you can find one on a truck and use it for a template it may be hard getting one reproduced.

Too bad your not looking for Chevy Sport stickers-Link

Re: Cannot find Heavy Half decals!!!

Heavy Half was the GMC version of the Big 10 sticker so it's not going to be as common, though it seems the heavy duty chassis equipment option was fairly popular during that time so who knows. I think my truck may have had them when original, but it's been painted over. They do exist though and I have seen several that still had the decals.

EDIT:

I can't really find good pics but in one of the pics here you can see the decal:

Re: Cannot find Heavy Half decals!!!

Thanks to everyone who replied, and Troy I will be giving them a call tomorrow. I always get this guy a christmas gift as he is an older gentleman who has helped me learn so much about oldsmobiles, and all vehicles in general. He has a 78 (i believe) GMC and has mentioned that he would like to have these decals several times, so thanks again everyone. Kaysen

Re: Cannot find Heavy Half decals!!!

I asked the same question about these decals a while back, I found a pic of one and this guy; http://www16.brinkster.com/melkwegstudios/stickers.html custom made them for me.

His price was really cheap so I had him make me two sets and a few other custom decals.

Re: Cannot find Heavy Half decals!!!

Well everyone, I have contacted all these companies with no luck. I even got with the two local people who do vinyl decals and I am not really satisfied with their products (they just stack diffrent colors of vinyl, instead of having one layer with diffrent colors on it) So if anyone on here could make some (or even has some in stock), for a reasonable price, please let me know how much and if i could get them by the week before Chrstmas. thanks again, Kaysen

Re: Cannot find Heavy Half decals!!!

I have been talking to a guy that makes decals and see if he can duplicate this exact size/shape/colors etc....so this is not for sale (Im not paid to sell here anyway), I just wanted to post pics in case anyone needed the part number etc.

We'll all know now that if you have the decal don't think about taking it off for paint!!
