aftermarket a/c - how good is the heater question
for those who have seen the thread on my truck, I am considering my options if my truck is really a total. I have a 67 stepside body that I am considering swapping the engine, tranny. posi... etc into
First question about doing this. The 67 is not an a/c cab, I have no issue with using an a/m a/c setup but am wondering how well the heater works with these a/m systems? It can cold here in NE Oklahoma during the winter and a good a/c system would mean squat to me if I had to freeze during the winter. I have always been happy with the factory heater in my 72 with a factory a/c cab (the a/c has never been hooked up). I am trying to be proactive about making a choice about what to do if my truck can't be fixed. The wife already mentioned today about buying a truck that I didn't have to work on. Just trying to get the ball rolling quickly. And by the way the wife is really supporitive of all my projects and would grudingly accept me building another truck. So... The question is, with an add on a/c system, is the heater good, really good? Thanks. Trent

Re: a/m a/c - heater question
I assume you are referring to AFTERMARKET A/C (vintage air etc.)
I am sure someone will be along soon. I know there's guys here with them, just dont remember names. my factory non A/C can cook a turkey. I will watch this thread as I am also interested. |

So, whoever is running an aftermarket a/c system (vintage air, old air,,,etc), how well does the heater work?
