Re: 58k 69 C-10
It's a very nice resto-rod, but for being priced in the mid-high 50k range, I would expect a factory tach dash, a sound system better than the jankity cassette deck, a seat that wasn't from the back of a Tahoe and an underbed fuel tank. With that being said- I'll be suprised if he gets his buy it now price. The people who would even entertain the notion of droppin' 50 large on a classic truck are gonna nit-pick that thing to death and definately notice the subtle short-cuts and maybe more.
Awesome ride nonetheless!

I'm not gonna nit-pick it. It's a sweet truck that's worth whatever someone is willing to pay.

That truck is really only worth about 8K but they have to get back the 50K they spent in photography!

I agree/\... Plus, before you bash it, you should try and figure how much time and money went into making it such a clean truck. Heck, my paint job cost 6500 and I didn't touch the frame and suspension. It costs lots of money, especially if you don't do it yourself. Just my 2 cents worth. john

Re: 58k 69 C-10
That is one VERY nice resto-rod truck. However, for around 55K I would expect to have upgrades like: stainless disks all around, a 502 big block, a one piece window kit, a stainless exhaust, tubular upper and lower control arms, and a more customized interior. That's just one mans opinion.

Nice looking truck, but not for the money. Only think I don't care for, is the steering wheel. Just doesn't go with the rest of that interior.

Re: 58k 69 C-10
Nice truck but for my taste I lean more towards the stock appearing trucks with improved mechanical improvements. Still looks like they did a very nice job on this 69. I now like the looks of 69-70 trucks just a little more.

Re: 58k 69 C-10
I think that is a beautiful truck. Not worth the asking price to me... but to others it may be. I was very impressed that finally someone put a ton of pictures on their high priced ad. Let's you know what you're lookin at. But, then he skimped on the description. If I was spending that much money, I'd want to read what I was getting along with looking at the pics.
Once again, very nice vehicle!

Re: 58k 69 C-10
Would anyone buy a vehicle that expensive without going to look at it first? Personally I would have to see it in person.

thats a really nice truck.wicked attention to detail takes alot of time.i agree they took a few short cuts probably has all that into it tho thats why hes asking that which sometimes doesnt work.some may think im crazy but i have more than that into my truck and i did everything except for paint myself, on the other hand i wouldnt let it go for that price either tho but its done the way i wanted.just another guys 2 cents.rob

Re: 58k 69 C-10
here is another one,and its $89,500.00
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=270208821192 I know many dont like Barrett Jackson but trucks like the one above and the yellow one I just posted rarely get above 50K and I seen alot of nicer cars go for high 30's.

Re: 58k 69 C-10
Well guys yall had me curious and i had to look at a 50 thousand dollar truck. When i looked i saw that it was the truck that i just built and sold at Goodguys in Dallas in Oct. 07. I did all the work myself, except for exterior paint. Front of truck was painted in a carport thingy with a plywood floor.I almost s--t when i dropped my cab, doors and front clip off.My buddy finally opened up a little shop and we finished bed in real paint room. After Hurricane Rita went throuh in the middle of it. The black is almost semigloss,i usually paint them more of a eggshell black. I built the seat out of a 98-99 tahoe -sub.second seat and i covered the original door panels to match. I installed a old air unit, that is why it has non air controls and the plastic glove box. The truck is the originalcolor med red #514 or #544. the inside glove box door is still original paint. I sold it with 17x 8 tt2'sand about a 3/6inch.drop. I was going to run tailpipes and never got around to it. I sold the truck with 212 miles on it at Goodguys and the was the last 12 that i put on it about 100mph around the track on sat.evening.I sold the truck to help fund my new 40x60 metal building that i just put up.I out grew my 30x40.I have started another 70swb that will be same quality that will be for sale. The truck was stock 350,700r and 373 gear.It was hard to let this one go so quick but i needed to finish my shop. I usually put a couple thousand miles on them first. I prefer 68and 72 swb anyway. The guy put the air ride.wheelsand steering wheel is the main thing that he changed in last couple of months. I like the way that it sits alot better than when i had it. O well now i am broke again and no finished truck to play in. But i got a new shop to start all over again.
Sorry i got carried away, just got excited when i noticed it was my old truck. I do not even have any nice pics. of it. Maybe i can get him to send me some. I sold the truck for $25000.00 and thought i did good.
