Loose rear window
My rear window is loose. This has been upgraded sometime ago by previous owner. Its currently a sliding rear window. I have a shim of sorts wedged in so it doesnt move back and forth. Is this a fault of weatherstripping?
Can I simply just replace this and have it fixed? Or is there more to it. |

If the opening is not modified then with the rubber is worn or the aftermarket window is too small. You should be able to replace it easily. I would add a new rubber gasket to make sure it's good.

When you say opening are you referring to the actual window? If so, no that isnt modified.
Also when you say gasket, are you referring to the weatherstrip? Thanks, Matt |

Yep, opening is the steel opening that GM stamped into the cab sheetmetal. The rubber weatherstripping sits into that and holds the glass/aluminum housing for sliding window.

Ok I just ordered some new weatherstripping for the backwindow.
Is it difficult to install this? Do I put the adhesive on the weatherstrip or the cab? |

did you order the rubber for a slider or was it a stock window? We sell the slider and most times it requires a rubber for sliders The ones we sell fit the OEM gaskets but not all Mfg's do.
