What the Frame?

Was under my truck today, after doing the brakes, noticed that my frame stops 18-20" then has two pieces of tube steel bolted to both original rails, then to the bumper brackets. Whats up with this? Should all LWB frames be like this? The tube steel looks like it's been added and the frame rails in the rear look factory.

Pictures??? Frame stops 18-20" from what? If I have the mental picture right it sounds like someboby modified it. The frame should be basically the same all the way front to back....

Re: What the Frame?

I am curious about that sway bar. It looks like it mounts different than any others i have seen. And looks to be for the better. Got any more pics?

Re: What the Frame?

1BadSS- sounds like someone lengthened your frame for some reason. Maybe wrecked in the rear at some point and repaired with box tubing. Just a guess...

Larry, you had to know this would happen... Check this link for the Camaro swaybar:linky
