Engine swap no spark

Im in the middle of an engine swap 305 to 350 on my 84 and haven't made much progress because i'm not getting any spark. I re used my old distributor so everything should of been good. Is it possible that i don't have something hooked up that could cause this. I know my tach wiring is correct and i'm getting power at the distributor. I have the 2 ground wires hooked up to the back of the head is there anything else i need to make sure is hooked up?

Did you find tdc #1 when you put the dizzy in?
You could be out 180 degrees on your timing!

Re: Engine swap no spark

Did you plug the power wire to the dizzy back up? I accidentally plugged mine into my tach spot and fought that for 2 weeks... Not my brightest moment lol i always take my valve cover off to make sure i'm on tdc

Re: Engine swap no spark

the wiring to the distributor is correct. I'm pretty sure the distributor is correct, if it was 180 out wouldn't there still be spark just backfiring and such?

Re: Engine swap no spark

The module must have died; pure coincidence and nothing related to the engine swap.
