Re: Sport bumper brackets

I'd imagine that with the same frame and same bumper and same bed they would use the same brackets. Stranger stuff has happened.

Re: Sport bumper brackets

My understanding is that the shortbed trucks have different attachment points and thus require different brackets which have a reinforcement on them. As a caveat to that, the coil spring trucks are the same short or long. So, upshot is:

2wd SWB leaf and 4wd SWB are the same

2wd SWB coil, 2wd LWB coil or leaf, and 4wd LWB are the same

Re: Sport bumper brackets

As far as I know there are only 2 different styles of brackets for the sport bumper. One is for coil sprung trucks, the other is for leaf sprung trucks. LWB and SWB does not make a difference.

Re: Sport bumper brackets

Okay, now I've got to get my brackets and check 'em against the pix. I bought the bumper w/brackets from a friend but never gave any thought to what they came off of...LWB or SWB, coil or leaf. Glad to know there's a difference and the pix are available to show me what I need to know.
