how much is my truck worth???

I am thinking of selling my truck and getting a newer one. We have a baby on the way and i could really use the room of an extended cab, and a more comfortable ride.

my truck is a 1972 Chevy k10 4x4 long bed. Auto. original A/C...350 w/ around 50,000 on the motor. The actual odometer just rolled over(100,000 miles).....good tires. Body is in good shape but has some rust under the door frames. It is getting close to time for a tranny rebuild.....also has a true dual exhaust with magnaflow mufflers. New "original" radio with uncut dash.

there is more but i cant think of it right now....

Nice Truck!

Congrats on the baby on the way! I know the feeling....our first one is due in July.

Get a mini-van for baby backup.....and keep the truck. Plenty of room in the bed for a baby or two... + groceries and stroller and baby bag, blanket, spit towels, mother-in-law, ect.........LOL.

boy, you know you've been on here when you remember a truck selling, and then selling again

I would think it is worth a little more than you paid over a year ago, with the extra parts, i would try to come out positive on it. Does the ac work? Is the paint original?

no mini van....hahaha

the wife has a newer 4runner that can be used for all that stuff. I am just thinking about getting a truck with a little more room. I found a '03 ext cab chevy 1500 that i really like....but i am still contemplating if we can afford it or not.

ps. i bought the truck for $5000...I had brake job all around, leaky valve cover fixed, new exhaust, new radio, 94 chevy steering wheel. Also has the HEI distributor. I dont think the paint is original but looks good. The only bad spots are on the rocker panels.

the 4 wheel drive and everything works great. The a/c works but sometimes freezes up. I dont ever use so i am not sure how well it works. The tranny and everything works, it just sometimes slips out of gear. It seems like it is when i am going around a curve and take my foot off the gas and then press the gas again, for a second or two it seems like it is in neutral.

MINE DID THAT, WAS A SLOW LEAKING REAR SEAL, IF THE VEHICLE SAT FOR
A WHILE YOU WOULD HAVE TO TOP OF THE TRANNY FLUID, TOOK ME A LONG
TIME TO FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS CAUSING IT, JUST A FYI, NOT A SOLUTION.

luv2xclr8--that is what the problem is. The rear seal is slowly leaking. I dont have the money to fix it right now, so i just make sure the tranny fluid is topped off all the time.

i forgot to add that the truck has hedman headers.
