Resto under way, Door Questions 63 GMC

I need help with some Door questions.

The metal work is done on my 1963 doors. Any real nice regulator set ups out there?

Is a power set up the way to go or are they too much trouble?

I need to buy the glass, is it all the same wherever you get it? Same as the felts anad rubbers?

I saw some latches in the magazine and they advertize they shut like a new car door. Is there anything to that?

I am trying to stay as close to original as function will allow, I hope to drive this truck a lot.

Thanks for the help.

Jay

For window felts and rubber use Steele brand. More expensive but much better quality.

You won't go wrong with Steele, I've heard they buy from Precision so you might check them out. http://precisionrestorationparts.com/ I bought my glass from a vendor, the vent glass fit and the window glass didn't. So I'd just have the glass cut by a local glass shop.

hello! I will be buying a power window set up from nu-relics in north Carolina, looks like a well made regulator and they use gm window motors.i think electric life makes a setup, but they look flimsy to me.jmo. good luck.
