The Pay Off
Well about 5 years and a couple thousand dollars a roller coaster of emotions hitting ups and downs im finally getting the pay off when i pulled the truck into the garage my freshman year of highschool i had no idea where i would be today in that time i really struggled to keep going because its alot of work and its hard to appreciate something that sits stagnant in the garage for so long working on it nights and weekends not being able to drive my truck but finally im getting there and im proud of what ive accomplished for starting the truck so young and not knowing what the hell i was doing but im almost there and its time to take a step back and really enjoy my hard work
on a side note any one else in the body work/ tear down stage dont get discourage it will get there and be worth it ps im looking for the thread that talked about all the bolts sizes and quantities needed for the bed instead of forking over a hundred bucks for a bolt kit i cant find the thread can anyone post the link |

your truck looks great and all the long hours have definitely paid off. looks like your just down to some small stuff now and you can drive and enjoy it... congrats

I just hardware store'd it for carriage bolts as well.

Congratulations! It can be a long road getting to this milestone, and life sometimes gets in the way making the journey even more difficult. Beautiful truck, it will all have been worthwhile when you start taking it places and hear all the compliments it inspires.

I would find the bed customization thread and start counting. Or you can go on the mar-k web sight and it might be on there if not I am sure if you call them they will tell you the sizes and how many you will need.

I got a kit from classic and they shorted me 5 big bolts and 6 small ones and probably 7 big washers. That and I needed 6-7 longer bolts due to the uneven wood and bed strips. When and if I do it again I will count the bolts, buy the next size longer and get them from the local hardware store.

Buy the bolts from a local hardware store and then set up a buffer and polish the heads so they are all nice smooth and shiny.
