Re: ? on dominator air bags....

8" max, and mine balloon a bit, but not more than 8. I just put in a set (in back) and they ride like crap compared to the contitech's that were in there but the dom's give more travel which was what I was after.

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

The Dom 2600 have a 13in inflated and 2.7in compressed heights. I have mine in a '67swb with no shocks and at a 2in ride height they are great.

Where does this answer the OP's questions of inflated bag diameter?

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

Trucks right outside so the rear should be sorta easy lol. The front would be harder. I can say they fit in 67-87 arms perfect for such a massive bag, 60-66 if they are the same but can't remember, I think they are.

Same as stated above, 2600lb Doms are 8in deflated.

Are you trying to put them in the front or rear?

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

yah i have 4ply 2600 dual port contitechs in the back (like 8.5" diameter), looking to probably put doms in front' so need some inflated and ballooned diameter specs please? looking to cup lower a arms and needing that measurement so i know what size pipe to by as a 9" id pipe and conti bag wont fit to well in front i would assume, also will be shortening lowers an 1" if that matters.
thanks

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

The doms are bigger than the contitechs for sure, I never measured but they are noticeably bigger.
Off question, but what do you hope to accomplish by lengthing the uppers and shortening the lowers so much?

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

so then they are basically the same as my 4ply dual 3/4" port 2600 conti bags, but cheaper price and only 2ply and 1/2" ports? guess i will just get 2 more like what i already have and be better off then getting the doms...

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

Why do you need dual ports? And the Doms are good to 600psi. Arent 4 ply's like 100 Each?

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

haha bout 120 each, gonna run separate lines for fill and dump, local suspension shop i bought the conti's at has tested the 4 ply to 700 psi, not that I'm ever going to run that lol.

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

If you want to run contitechs, Macs has a new series there that are suppose to get as much lift as the doms. I think they are 2 ply's though.
And why seperate lines? sounds like too much plumbing

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

haha macs springs is where i bought them lol, and where i will buy most of my bag stuff. not really much more plumbing at all as the dump valve will be about 5-8" from bag at most and same with fill valve. dual ines will make the air ride faster as it will fill and dump the air through separate lines

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

we are running a special on doms 52.00 and free shipping...
But I don't see why the dual ports man more of a hassle then what its worth! single port 1/2 is faster then what I would want to be honest. I'm going to run 3/8" manifold with 1/4 reducers on the release ports... normal operating pressure on these trucks on a 224c style bag is 80-110psi you will never ever see any where near 700psi its way over kill and not neccesary... I just hate seeing people get sold some thing they don't want or need because some shop recommended some thing they know nothing about..

Re: ? on dominator air bags....

That is DIRT CHEAP. Put it this way, that is cheaper than most of my wholesale accounts, and the few that are cheaper, could not compete because of free shipping. Jon, you are killing the forum with fantastic deals!!!!

Seperate lines won't make it any faster. If both your valves are Teed together 8" from the bag the air still has to travel the same distance throught the same size air line. Save som cash and get single ports.
