Re: AAW install

I'm thinking of replacing the wiring in my truck. There's a lot of M Mouse stuff left over from when my FiL owned it. Nice to see that it went easily. Time, I have.

Re: AAW install

di you happrn to notice if there was a different part number for 67-68`s? as the plug thru the firewall is different. also did you have to mount the firewall plug with those screws sticking out?

Hi Michael, the kit is for a 67-72 so I'm assuming the part # is correct.
The screws you see are what is provided in the kit but I will change mine out for something different for sure. I'm going to end up cutting them off close to flush or through bolting with the nuts on the inside.

Re: AAW install

Does the kit come with some way to cover up the cut in the firewall around the bulkhead connector? I believe the stock bulkhead connector on the engine compartment side is actually larger than the hole in the firewall so it conceals the hole and allows for a seal to be used between the connector and firewall. Seems like AAW should address this if they haven't already.

Re: AAW install

The kit comes with a template for the firewall opening.
I cut my hole as tight as possible and the gap you see is overlapped by the gasket inside......I hope that makes sense

Re: AAW install

I am pretty sure the part number for the 67 is the same.

There is foam on the inside that seals. If you want a real clean look in the engine bay then you need to do a bit of work, or make a collar or something. But it does seal.

Re: AAW install

Ok. Thanks for all the replies about the bulkhead connector seal! Good to know for a future project that I want to use the AAW kit on.
